ABOUT GOLDCOAST BALLROOM
A Legacy of Dance. A Destination for Excellence.
Since opening its doors on December 25, 1997, Goldcoast Ballroom has been one of South Florida's premier destinations for dance — where world-class instruction, elite performance, and a vibrant dance community come together on one floor.
Founded by Jeff Sandler and Vinny Munno, Goldcoast was designed and built exclusively for ballroom dancing. Their vision was simple: create a room worthy of the dance itself — a place where dancers of every level could learn, perform, compete, and belong.
Nearly three decades later, that room has welcomed world champions, renowned performers, coaches, choreographers, and adjudicators — alongside generations of competitive and social dancers who call Goldcoast home.
A Legacy Built on the Floor
At the center of it all is our 42' x 68' floating oak dance floor — full competition size, engineered for the precision International Standard demands and the freedom Latin and social dance require. It has been the stage for world champions and first-time dancers alike — for competitions and showcases, private lessons and group classes, elegant performances and unforgettable social nights.
It is the foundation everything else at Goldcoast is built on.
Built by Dancers, for Dancers
Goldcoast was created — and is still run — by two men who understand dance from the inside.
Jeff Sandler came up through New York's hustle clubs of the 1970s before teaching at Fred Astaire's Fifth Avenue studio, competing at the U.S. Ballroom Championships, and earning multiple Pro-Am titles alongside pro Olga Bogdanov. That background in dance, music, and entertainment shaped Goldcoast's artistic identity — and today, Jeff serves as artistic director and the voice behind our biggest nights, shows, and events.
Vinny Munno began training in ballet, jazz, and tap at age eight, performed six seasons of The Nutcracker with the New Jersey Dance Theater Guild, and trained formally through the Dance Educators of America before becoming a U.S. American Rhythm and American Smooth Pro-Am Gentleman Champion. Today, Vinny is the sound of Goldcoast — the DJ setting the tempo for every class and party — and oversees the calendar, scheduling, and day-to-day business operations.
Two dancers. One room, built to last.
World-Class, By Design
From International Standard and Latin to American Smooth, Rhythm, Salsa, Swing, Hustle, Argentine Tango, and more, Goldcoast brings together an extraordinary range of dance styles under one roof.
Our instructors are accomplished professionals who have competed, performed, coached, and taught at the highest levels of the sport. Private lessons run seven days a week, complemented by group classes, social dances, practice parties, showcases, competitions, and special events throughout the year.
Whether you're taking your very first steps or training at a competitive level, Goldcoast offers what few rooms can:
World-class dance, with the warmth of community.
Where the Ballroom Comes Alive
Goldcoast's reputation was built by extraordinary dancers — but its heart has always been its community.
Beginners share the floor with lifelong dancers. Students train alongside accomplished professionals. Friendships form between songs. And throughout the year, the ballroom comes alive with social dances, showcases, competitions, holiday celebrations, and signature events.
Goldcoast isn't a ballroom you visit once. It's a rhythm you return to.
More Than a Ballroom
Beyond our own calendar, Goldcoast offers an elegant, distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations, corporate gatherings, and special events — a room already built for movement, music, and celebration, ready to become the backdrop for yours.
Come Experience Goldcoast
For nearly three decades, this floor has been shaped by everyone who has stepped onto it — champions and beginners, teachers and students, competitors and social dancers.
