Dancing is a physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury, including but not limited to falls, muscle strain, and collision with other participants. Goldcoast Ballroom strongly recommends that you consult with a physician before beginning any new physical activity, including dance instruction, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition, injury, or concern about your fitness to participate.

Nothing on this Website, and nothing communicated by our instructors or staff, should be construed as medical advice. Participation in any class, private lesson, social dance, or event is entirely at your own risk, in accordance with the Assumption of Risk provisions in our Terms of Use and any Liability Waiver signed at the time of registration or check-in.

3. Food & Alcohol Disclaimer

Goldcoast Ballroom sells and serves alcoholic beverages on-site under its own license. At certain private rental events, alcohol may also be provided by an independent caterer or bar service, or brought onto the premises by a renter or their guests.

  • We do not guarantee that food served on the premises is free of allergens; guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions should inquire directly with venue staff or the applicable catering provider before consuming any food

  • Alcoholic beverages are intended for guests 21 years of age or older; guests are solely responsible for their own consumption and conduct

  • Outside/BYOB alcohol is not sanctioned by Goldcoast Ballroom. Where a renter, their guests, or their vendors bring alcohol onto the premises independent of Goldcoast Ballroom's own licensed service, that renter is solely and fully responsible and liable for such alcohol and any resulting harm, injury, or claim. Goldcoast Ballroom disclaims all liability for alcohol it did not itself sell or serve.

  • Goldcoast Ballroom is not responsible for the independent acts of any third-party caterer, bartender, or vendor operating at a rented event, except as may be separately agreed in a written Rental Agreement

5. Weather & Event Changes

Outdoor conditions, venue capacity, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances may require Goldcoast Ballroom to modify, reschedule, or cancel a class, social dance, or event. Where reasonably possible, we will attempt to notify affected guests, but Goldcoast Ballroom is not liable for losses or inconvenience resulting from such changes, except as otherwise provided in a specific written Rental Agreement.

As described in our Terms of Use, Goldcoast Ballroom routinely photographs and records video at its events, classes, and social dances for use in its galleries and marketing materials. By attending, you acknowledge you may appear in such photography or video.

Parties renting Goldcoast Ballroom's facility for private events are responsible for their own vendors, guests, décor, and conduct at the event, in accordance with the terms of their signed Rental Agreement. Goldcoast Ballroom is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of any renter, their guests, or their third-party vendors, except as expressly provided in that Rental Agreement.

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Goldcoast Ballroom, Inc., its owners, officers, employees, instructors, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this Website, your participation in any class, private lesson, social dance, showcase, competition, or event, or your attendance at any rented event, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
