DanceSport Competitions at Goldcoast Ballroom

Goldcoast Ballroom has a proud history as a host venue for the Royal Palm DanceSport Competition, a highly regarded event that welcomed amateur, Pro/Am and Teacher/Student competitors from Florida, across the United States, Canada and around the world.

For approximately 15 years, longtime Goldcoast community members Patti and Les MacDonald played an important role in developing, organizing and growing the competition. Dancers of all ages took to the Goldcoast floor in American Smooth and Rhythm, International Standard and Latin, Hustle, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Theater Arts and more.
